I believe doctors are retiring in response to demographics. They are reaching retirement age, or the age at which they earlier wanted to retire. Some of them are retiring in response to current and past Medicare practices. Some are retiring in response to the risk of future problems with government reimbursement. It is unlikely that any significant portion are being motivated by the current discourse. If Obama/PelosiCare passes that will change rapidly.
