I didn't assert that it did not have such an impact. I said there is no reason to think it did. You don't have evidence for an agnostic viewpoint, lack of evidence leads to an agnostic viewpoint, which was all I expressed in that post. To move away from such a viewpoint, in either direction, you have to either have evidence, or rely on faith.

When you stated an assumption I merely pointed out that it was a damn BIG assumption. That's all I said

We have conversations, not merely collections of unconnected posts. In that post you correctly pointed out it was a big assumption. I'm quite willing to drop the assumption if you are. But if its drop your earlier argument - "And... a GREATER PERIODICITY for mass financial panics and failures and crashes is most certainly *not* conducive to higher levels of either wealth or economic output." - is much weaker.
