The above sentence is perfect to show how you seem unable to discern differences between slavery today and slavery 2,000 years ago. The reason both have declined is what is important.

YOu really think the cannibalism and slavery which exists today is comparable to the cannibilism and slavery that existed 2,000 years ago??

So, as it isn't, one has to discern why?? Reason, that is why.

As we learn to reason better, we do away with things like cannibalism, slavery, sexism, and gay bashing.

Religion has impeded equality in the sexes and gays.

And your sentence above makes no mentioned of the difference between slavery and cannibalism 2,000 years ago and today.

The reason for the difference is what is important.
