>>>I doubt NT will buy ASND. They have a close relationship with SHVA.<<<

Shiva is only focused on a small niche of remote access: LANs. NT has to do more than just resell some of Shiva's LAN RAS if they hope to capitalize on the remote access market's full spectrum. That's maybe good enough to face LU's Livingston.

>>>ASND is bieng eaten alive at the lower end by Livingston.<<<

ROFL! Yeah right! You mean all $50 mil of Livingston's 1996 sales, right? You're a funny guy.

>>>At the higher end CSCO is rapidly gaining market share.<<<

Wrong! It's the lower end that CSCO is mostly a threat.

>>>How many new announcements have you seen from ASND lately vs new announcements from CSCO.<<<

Oh, you mean like that UUNET order a few weeks ago for 170,000 more ports based on ASND's MAX TNT, right? Ha!

>>>Check any of the numerous lab tests and the CSCO AS5300
outperforms the TNT<<<

Wrong again! The lab test that CSCO's propaganda department released last week was conducted by one of its own investments. What they failed to tell you was that CSCO's AS5300 can only support a measly 4 T1/E1 interfaces, vs the MAX TNT's 150. And the AS5300 can only support 120 users while the MAX TNT can support 672. And that's why UUNET chose the MAX!

You were sadly misinformed...do more research.
