I certainly agree with you about that!

(And, I suspect that a lot of that 'inconsistent law' in these areas is DELIBERATE, Congress and it's lobbyists WANTED the laws to be written very 'loose' for what we call White Collar Crime.

Still... for the *very* occasional White Collar Criminal who winds up in a Club Fed sometime, i will not be shedding any tears.

There are PLENTY of fairly ordinary folk, who arguably caused *far lesser* harms, who are routinely treated much more harshly.
