to all:I spoke to william St.Laurent today.He indicated that earnings will be out the end of this week(Friday).Stated the reason for the delay was because of the merger and a recent visit by several Brazilian/Bahia dignitaries to silicon valley which he hosted.He could not give any specific results for the 3rd Qtr.but indicated there would be no negative suprises.Overall he felt the qtr.was mixed with sales being very strong and good economies in purchasing and manufacturing resulting from the merger being somewhat offset with higher G&A, interest expense,and currency translation losses.He also disclosed that his father converted part of his loans to the same terms as the private Placement Convertible debt. Overall I was left with an impression that this will be a good but not great Qtr.I am concerned that there are numerous short sellers lurking and will seize any sign of weakness to plant new or old stories(read Barron's article)in an effort to crator this stock.This might be easy to do now with the weakness in brazils economy/currency. Long & nervous. Jim
