<'Americans can always be counted upon to do the right thing - after they have tried all of the wrong ones.' Stated differently and as someone else suggested, we haven't yet had our faces pushed into the dog poop, but we are about to.>

Can we please get on with it? <g?>

I know it's not going to be any fun, but it makes it really difficult to plan for the future when you believe this is on the way. In many ways, it would reset the incentive system in our country back to where it belongs. Reviewing global asset prices over the weekend, it sure seems like the speculator class thinks everything is back to normal. My interpretation is that no lessons were learned whatsoever. With bubble prices returning in countries like Mexico, Brazil, and much of Asia, the institutional memory is demonstrated to be less than twelve months. Who are the greater fools, though - the ones that paid bubble prices in 2008 when the bubble was still growing, or the ones paying it now, when the bubble has been exposed?
