I think Israel gets much of their water from distillation plants.

Actually, the country that may lead the research on this is China because they have MAJOR water problems.

2/3rds of the earth's surface is water but we can't use it because the technology hasn't kept up with the need.

We should see some extraordinary breakthroughs on this in the next 20 years.
