Knighty, they might just be running interference.

the elites want the CO2 tax b/c now they literally tax the exhale part of human breath.

i wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the bilderbergers (your governor is one - and they *want* CO2 taxes - badly!) are staging a phony "response" with the idea being that the response is idiotic so the science must be "settled."

it isn't difficult.

we've dumped 200 billion tons of CO2 into the environment every year for 15 years.

The most on record from human activity.

$1.4 TRILLION tons.

the result?

and i quote the lead CRU "scientist" - "there has been no statistically significant warming since 2995."

i'm sorry, but the conclusion doesn't match the theory, which is why 100% of their models was not only wrong, but wack job wrong.

not a single of their models predicted the REALITY.

"settled" my *ss.

that's it.

i'm all for saving the environment - i drive high gas mileage vehicles (bought used corolla - will drive it 'til it drops, too so i don't waste the energy used to build 'em), i don't commute a long way, i recycle, i wear sweaters as required, i turn down the hot water if the shower is too warm (as opposed to turn up the cold).

my guess is most of the "global warmers" don't care for the environment nearly as well as i do.

but the idea that 1.4 TRILLION TONS of CO2 could be a driving a driving force of warming but not create any statistically significant warming does not "settle" the matter.

in fact, it blows it wide open.
