At last an intelligent post from you. Now I know how you got through Cornell! So you can think after all. Why don't you do it all the time?

I admit the reality of relativity is sort of depressing for just the reasons you say. It seems the reality we see is a matrix and maybe even worse than we think if it turns out time runs in both directions and we have legs in different diminsions we cannot sense, etc.

But, and here is where you have me, it does seem some things like say "kindness" would have a universal Platonic like "form". So how does that jive with relativity?? It may just be our general lack of intelligence that makes it seem that way.

I think wisdom and logic is a two way street. And I do not think the visible world tells us much of anything except the limitation of our senses.

I could buy the possibility of sentient beings in outer space, or in different diminsions may know of us and may even have an interest in us.

But I have no idea what any of that would be? And I have never seen anything in any of the worlds 5,000 religions I found particulary profound i.e. something I haven't thought of.

Mostly just seems like primitive tribal thinking to me.

>>Koan, if you don't believe in absolute truth, you don't have a foundation for any logical thought.

Logic is the extension of wisdom. It needs a foundation. Logic without a foundation is circular.

Some atheists claim that the concept of God is nothing but circular logic, but they themselves start from the foundation that there is no God. Or that the visible world is all we have.
