Ted, like I said before, I think universal health care is inevitable.

What I don't agree with is the notion that universal health care is a panacea. You care about rising health care costs? Universal health care will make it worse. But universal health care will also give politicians the power to ration.

The facts don't support your concern. Its been reported over and over again on this thread that health per capita tends to cost less in other countries while life span is longer than in the US.

And voters don't like to hear about what they have to sacrifice so that people less fortunate can have basic health care coverage. Not even Obama will tell them, partly because Obama is deluding himself.

That's the real bugaboo in this controversy. The better off are afraid they will be paying for the less fortunate. Once again, class warfare at its finest. That's why Rush wants to go to Costa Rica. Of course, he's not smart enough to realize that health care reform is much further advanced in Costa Rica than it is in this country and he will be helping to support universal health care in that country. I hope no one tells him until he's safely settled in his new country. I wonder if he will learn Spanish. Nah.....he'll try to get the gov't to change the official language to English. That should be fun.
