I don't think it is a partisan agenda. Both parties understand the need to reform health care. Both parties agree that we need to do something about our energy issues. Both parties understand the need for economic and financial reforms.

However, both parties have different ideas on how to solve those problems. Obama's agenda is a bipartisan agenda and if all politics were put aside, I believe there is plenty for Republicans to like. But let's stop fooling ourselves about bipartisan solutions. We're simply not going to get any of that in this political climate.

Therefore, it is a much better path to get solutions even if they are not bipartisan. Again, the GOP claims that they want the Dems to hold off on any solutions until bipartisan agreement can be had is nothing more than a delay tactic. The GOP understands very clearly that to delay any progress on our problems is to gain the upper hand come November.

I think they may have many Americans fooled, but I'm not fooled one bit. The Dems really have only one choice if they want to maintain power in November and that's to pass health care and try to pass energy legislation and stick to their guns in getting out of Iraq. If they can walk into November with those three things under their belt, then GOP hopes for a return to power will wither.
