Good point Don. Shorting small-float issues takes guts.
Ideally you do want to get definitive downtrend confirmation before taking the short position, but when these guys do turn down definitively after big runups the falls are swift and you will find one of two things: 1) there is no stock available to short and/or 2) there aren't many upticks to work with so your fill can be dismal. This isn't such a big deal with large float stocks, which can be much better shorts overall as you can actually figure and manage to a risk/reward better.
To the YHOO shorts out there -- don't give up just yet!
