Dylan,

Considering that many of those radio manufacturers are also OEM providers to Ford and other automobile manufacturers, I see a little bit of difference in the comparisons.

The issue here is that it is fine for MSFT to offer their browser free. That is their right. But forcing computer manufacturers to bundle IE with their win95 o/s or threatening to revoke their license is an entirely different situation. Make them provide it either separately or sell it as a separate software application.

We all realize that MSFT has an extremely weak argument in claiming that IE is integral to the Win95 o/s. It isn't. Combining this with their attempts to corrupt Java into a Win95 only language it is becoming apparent that MSFT is getting out of hand and reducing competitive efficiencies and innovation in the software marketplace.

We have only now to discover if the Federal Govt will have the cajones to push this issue in the courts. The real war will be fought out here and in corporate circles. It will be up to SUNW to prove that they can make Java work as advertised.

Regards,

Ron
