<With the Intel and Gateway ads you know the company.>

Intel: Company = bunch of mimes dancing around in multi-colored celophane.

Gateway: Company = Cows. Slow, cud-chewing, stupid cows.

Apple: Company = Geniuses who changed the world.

Huh. Perhaps you and Bob can explain just how it is that these Apple ads are different (other than their obvious thematic superiority) from Intel and Gateway ads.

And as far as the whining about "product shots" goes (not from you; that just seems to be a common gripe), well, unless you devote 30 seconds to showing a 233Mhz PowerMac G3 blowing the doors off a 300Mhz Pentium in some reliable benchmark test, what's the point?

Apple's hardware products have long been considered far more asthetically pleasing than the competition's, so it's a foregone conclusion that product shots in an Apple commercial would be overkill.

I am enjoying watching folks struggle with trying to Think Different, though. Must be what it's like to watch a child take its first steps.

Good luck to you tomorrow, Ed.
