Having said all that, if I were Obama, I'd publicly continue to talk about bipartisanship and then non-publicly focus on getting my agenda passed and bipartisanship be damned. That's the only strategy that will work and keep his Dem constituency happy. Otherwise, the Dems lose power. It's pretty much that simple.

Apparently the Dems think the same thing. I think Clinton had a better idea, so here's hoping the Democrats damage themselves permanently, then the Republicans can split between conservatives and corporate blue bloods.
