Tim, I think you're WAY OFF on that.

Back in 1980 we were competing with the Europeans and Japan but China and India weren't doing much of anything.

We were like the "only show in town", but today we're like Britain in 1920 when WE were just coming on the scene.

We had a large population and few regulations and a lot of resources and we just BLEW the Europeans away.

Today, it's US that's getting "blown away".
