Rob: Thanks for your very intelligent posts. I'm dumping most of my IDT shares for more generic reasons. First, Intel's nice response to the threat, and second, ADT's response to Intel. The margins are just going to get shaved too thin and IDTI is a day late in the MPU scheme. While I realize they have some good products and will have earnings outside this field, I want to see some appreciation in my stocks, and was hoping to see IDTI pile on a couple of points of MPU market share, and double in the next 12 months.

We should have foreseen Intel's response. That is one sharp outfit. Their putting out cheap chips with Slot 1 compatibility is not only going to steal the little guys' thunder, it's going to save them money in production efficiency. Even if the Justice Department gets on them about it, it's a legitimate technological advance, and the worst thing that's going to happen to them is that they'll have to share some architecture, 6 months after their chips go on the market.
