Thanks. That sea bass fishing sounds like fun! I fished a lot as a boy, but it was all of the inland freshwater type. To me the ocean was just a mysterious place a thousand miles away.

My ancestor George Stronge of that little cottage in Chardstock had a grandson named John, who sailed from Weymouth on May 8, 1635 aboard the Hopewell heading for New England. Thus he skipped all that nasty business with Oliver Cromwell, King Charles, the Jacobites, and whatnot. He left a huge tribe of descendents in America, and I've had fun tracking down my numerous distant cousins.

One was banker Benjamin Strong Jr., who helped spawn the "Creature from Jekyll Island" in 1910...
