Citadel and Iomega to Premier C:/More! Personal File and Media Management Software at Comdex Fall '97
BusinessWire, Tuesday, November 04, 1997 at 13:18
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 1997--
1,000 Copies to be Given Away in Sweepstakes Via Website, Booth Sign-Up
To demonstrate just how easily computer "stuff" can be saved, retrieved and updated -- no matter where it is stored -- Citadel Technology's (OTCBB:NOFF) new C:/More! intelligent media management software will be demonstrated in conjunction with Zip(TM) and Jaz(R) drives at Iomega Corporation's (NYSE:IOM) booth at Comdex Fall '97 in Las Vegas Nov. 17-21. In addition, Citadel will give away 1,000 copies of C:/More! through drawings immediately following Comdex. In August, C:/More! was designated an IomegaReady Software partner by Iomega, the world's leading provider of personal computer storage systems. C:/More! enables computer users to quickly and easily keep track of all their computer files -- whether online or off-line on Zip(TM), Jaz(R), hard disks or floppies -- and without having to waste valuable time sifting through multiple directories. To be eligible for a free copy of C:/More!, entrants can register either with Citadel at the Iomega booth (No. L1614) or via Citadel's website (www.citadel.com) beginning today, Nov. 4. Winning entrants for the $79 (SRP) software package will be selected by Citadel Nov. 22 and need not be present at Comdex to win. "C:/More! leverages the Zip and Jaz user's ability to conserve hard drive space while also making management of their ever-growing Iomega media easier ... and that is what the IomegaReady Software program is all about. We think Comdex visitors will be very interested in what Citadel and Iomega have done for them in the area of media management," said Steven B. Solomon, Citadel's president and chief executive officer. "Iomega always has one of the most frequently visited and re-visited exhibits at Comdex. As the newest IomegaReady partner, we are confident that this year's Comdex visitors will love the way C:/More! helps them manage their Zip disks and Jaz cartridges, as well as any floppies they may still have," said Solomon. He added that "It is Citadel's mission to emulate Iomega in becoming the standard for making information storage, retrieval and updating easy for both consumers and corporate America." C:/More! uses advanced summarization technology to catalog files into logical, familiar locations, and to create intelligent summaries and assign key words based on relevant phrases contained within the document. Using powerful natural language processing capabilities, C:/More! extracts just the right amount of information to help the user save time reading documents and navigating huge collections of stored files. Each user designs his/her own cataloging system or selects from several pre-designed templates. File changes are made automatically and file moves are made through a simple drag-and-drop process.
