3/12/10 Update
The market racked up another good gain last week, once again damaging the credibility of the pessimistic prognosticators. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 4.34% YTD (vs. up 2.52% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index closed the week up 11.06% YTD (vs. up 9.00% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median closed up a stunning 11.37% YTD (vs. up 8.83% YTD a week ago).
WYD's portfolio didn't move much, but still remained in first place by finishing the week with a 41.96% YTD gain. GEORGIA's portfolio (up 32.74% YTD) and PGO's portfolio (up 31.27% YTD) held on to the No. 2 & No. 3 slots. Boosted by the week's top gainer, ITMN, the two portfolios holding the stock, that of RKRW & GHMM, both vaulted into the vaunted Top Ten.
At Friday's close, 28 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 16 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
