John Galt did not suggest you had a 'locked in' sense of consciousness, rather that your response (intrigue) in defining exactly WHO IS JOHN GALT reflects a correct approach by a thinking and rational mind.

John Galt finds your standards for brilliance and originality much lower than his own. Indeed, he finds these traits extremely rare.
