Health insurance is normally paid mostly by employers in the US and isn't in the household income numbers.

Medicare's claim denial rate is higher than private insurance companies. So put that in your "uncaring, cut-throat" pipe and smoke it.

Bottom line, we get better results from our health care system. How many state governors fly off to CA for health care they can't get in the states?
