There's no reason for insurance to pay a medical professional for a function that mom, the popular media, our friends, and common sense should be performing for free. I don't see how we save money paying someone to do what mom does for free. And what most people ignore in any case.

Just because it's part of the health care system it doesn't mean a "medical professional" (read expensive person) has to serve that function. It's more education than it is is treatment... a "health teacher"????
