That nice old man was known as Johnny Walker. I ran into him on my first trip to Rome. After work(lol) he would get dressed in civvies and sneak out a back door without his security detail and walk the city. Many people would recognise him AND leave him alone.
A very good man unfortunatly the rest do not act like him or Assisi. They act like Wayne freedom fighter where nothing bad is ever there fault and everything good is their direct responsibilty-ng-
