The Dept of Agriculture and the NIH push high carb diets in their production supports, their research supports, and their health/dietary advisories. It's not likely a coincidence that obesity mushroomed in concert with supports for corn and the demonizing of dietary fat. Hard as I try I fail to make the connection here..are you saying that an overweight/obese person in rural america is so because he/she reads advisories of the DoA and NIH? I am not buying this one. It's more likely that their diet is set by cultural and family tradition. Help me out here...how do I make this connection? Al
