I agree that there would SEEM to be pent up demand. But how it's financed is the key question.

If western economic recovery fails to secure continued export growth for China, then it has to develop it internally. And some might say the current political/economic arrangements are not sufficiently sound to facilitate that.

But that's for the future to tell.
