tibute to pedro rodriquez... one of the best drivers in the wet

brands hatch (london) 1970 BOAC 1,000 kmts.

youtube.com

a year later... both jo siffert would be killed at brands hatch at the race of champions (non-championship f-1 race)
and pedro at nuremberg in a secondary sports car race in a ferrari, while he was a porsche-john wyer porsche.

.....

brands is a fun & complicated circuit, turn 1 'paddock bend' has a flat to negative camber going down hill, at best,
a difficult turn in the dry. in the wet, is an impossible turn. pedro was a master in the wet, in this particular race,
he was the absolute definition of a virtuoso. after a black flag and a driver change, in which he went from 2nd. to
12th, to leading the race, losing the lead, to winning in the rain with a 5 lap advantage.

chris amon (a good driver in the wet in his own right) famous comment on pedro on that day: will someone tell pedro it is raining
