The SS fund is full of worthless IOU's from Congress. The money has been spent on wars and other pork. Congress wants to kill SS before the people find out what they did. People are going to start getting suspicious when the fund can't make payments. "I put all this money in and now they can't pay me? Where did it go Senator?"
