Obama never asked the Palestinians to recognize Israel. Fatah no longer does, only the fictive shell called the PA is left in place to 'recognize' Israel. Hamas, of course, never recognized Israel. Last weekend Abu Mazen named a public square in Ramallah for a terrorist who murdered 38 Israeli civilians in an attack in the 1970s. Obama didn't even class this as 'unhelpful.' He said nothing about it.
