Wait twenty years or so when young people will start telling you all the world's ills are the result of your generation's incompetence, greed, apathy, and/or hypocrisy. It will happen no matter what you do.

The generation that came out of WWII were, by and large, a pretty tough group by current standards. But the guys who ended up in control were, by and large, racist and sexist and convinced of their own superiority and they got away with it for a long time.

The boomers, for the most part, had it relatively easy and way too many of them developed a raging sense of entitlement once they got done being counter-culture carbon copies of each other. But the Civil Rights movement and increasing tolerance were good things that came out of that time.

I'm not seeing much come out of subsequent generations yet other than some good stand up comedy and a lot of bitching. That group has yet to leave a mark of any kind.
