I just can't believe that Israel gives the finger to the US, when we are their only true ally. We need to start getting tough with Israel. We need to start asking exactly what is it that the US gets out of our relationship with Israel. As far as I can tell, all we've gotten it grief and resentment from the Muslims in the region, which fuels terrorism against us, because of our one-sided support of Israel. Given that Israel clearly thinks they can thumb their nose at us, insult us, and do whatever the hell they want, even if it embarrasses us, tells me loud and clear that they need a hard lesson in the value we bring as an ally. I think we should rethink the $8B in loans and arms support we give them every year. Maybe this year we tell them we can't afford it, given our domestic economic malaise. That would teach them a lesson they will never forget again.
