What does the CBO do with data that contradicts what Congress feeds it? They are required to verify the data and use the most reliable source. For example the Treasury keeps track of its interest rates on the bonds it sells, if Congress data and the Treasury do not agree on the bond rates, the CBO would be wise to assume that the Treasury has the more accurate data.
