I harp on the role we play when we trivialize the abdication of anything like a concept of what really matters to us. Look at the discourse on health care -- what a joke. It is even more absurd that the lack of discourse on education. We whine about immigration despite the fact that immigration is one of the planks in the floor that made this country stand tall as a magnet for foreign brains. We have an entire political party devoted to not paying taxes. We did not need elites to rob us -- we invited them into our house while we stood there and yelled at our TVs about trivial issues and silliness.
