and i posted the other day that kansas city was shutting down about half of their schools...

the question SHOULD be, WHY were these moribund schools kept open in the face of huge student enrollment declines? (read my post on the topic)

we've had an expansion of school spending in the teeth of declining enrollments in many districts...should this not mean that some teachers will lose their jobs? or is teaching now considered a lifetime gov't job?

oh and SanFran has had a net outflow of *families* with children for years....it's too expensive to live here and the city has a massive budget deficit....any questions?
