tek: I logged to Schwab, one of the daily news reports noted two significant earnings events for the week: cisco and AOL. Since when did anybody start caring about AOL EARNINGS?!!?
Maybe you should reconsider a short in that general direction.
Note, tho,. that like many of our beloved bloated beasts, it is tied to the S&P, so pension funds continue to throw it money through their index-fund purchases.

The big mutual funds only buy from the S&P list as they know the pension plan index-fund purchases will always bail them out of trouble, no matter how worthless the company is.
Maybe it's time for S&P to tighten their delisting requirements.
