Hi Dave.

There are some very popular Coffee Shop threads that were killed by a Moderator who decided to ban most of the active participants and then abandon SI. Kind of like murder/suicide for a thread.

Here is one example where the Moderator did that and then disappeared. She hasn't posted on SI in over 5 years:

Subject 6944
'Let's Talk About Our Feelings!!!'

Here is another where the moderator hasn't been on SI for over 5 years.
Subject 51724
'Foreign Affairs Discussion Group'

Here is another where the Moderator hasn't been active on the thread in several years and some of the banned participants have since been Bannished from SI altogether.

'Stockman Scott's Political Debate Porch'
Subject 53012

It seems sensible to me that an administrator or newly assigned Moderator could clear the bans in cases like this to allow posters who enjoy these discussions to have more access. I would be happy clear the bans on these threads if you allow me to moderate them. I have moderated many threads and have a very limited ban policy.

Best Regards,
