Only the Huffington Post link even addresses comparative waiting times, the rest just point out that American's also wait.

And waiting time to see a doctor in the first place is hardly the only criteria for waiting time. If you see a doctor, who then puts you on a list when you wait even longer, the real waiting time is the whole period before you get treatment, not just the waiting time until the first doctors visit. For most elective surgeries or other major elective treatment, the waiting times are considerably longer in many other countries than in the US, even if in some of them you can get your first doctor's visit to a new doctor quicker.
