The notion that the Fed is the center of the economic universe is completely unfounded in reality. US MNEs did not go global because of the fed, and the fed could not have stopped them. The malaise of the US economy lies much, much deeper than the fed. Targeting the Fed for blame keeps us amused and distracted -- it is a sideshow. Tacking the root causes would require something we are not able to do -- focus on the real causes of our decline.
