Actually, I'm very impressed with the machinations that went into contorting that bill to wedge it into CBO's cracks. Work of art, for sure. Totally bogus, but impressive skill in gaming the system. "Wedge it into CBO's cracks". That is some assumption. So you think the CBO is somehow flawed; that they can't make an independent, fair evaluation? Why do you and Tim think that? Lack of expertise? Partisan influence? Why don't you trust the CBO? I'll say the same thing I said to Tim... why are you so critical of government trying to pay for a bill when in the past they haven't even made the attempt? It's like you are saying trying to score a bill for it's effect on the deficit is somehow a horrible sin... "for Gods sake it can't be sincere, it's a ruse". Why not give them a little credit for not putting it on the credit card.... we sure have seen a lot of that in the last 9 years.
