You will get no argument from me on welfare of every kind. Giant welfare conglomerates like Cargill are just fleecing us. But then so are the rest of the millionaire subsidy recipients.

A government is required to keep order and d the few essential tasks that are too large for individuals such as Provide for the Common Defense, Maintain a Common Currency and provide a Unified Foreign Policy. Everything else the government does could be better done by charities or the private sector. Coincidentally, I believe these are the delineated powers for the federal government mentioned in the Constitution.
