Hi PeterV. X-ray lithography can be used for .25 and below processing, but it is not commercially feasible for volume production. It is used for limited production military chips. Of the three authors of the article, two are consultants and one is a professor. They may be somewhat removed from the realities of commercial production. However, one of the consultants was formerly with IBM, which is known to have experimented for years with x-ray lithography. The x-ray issue was debated on this thread about one month ago. I'll see if I can find the posts. There's so much daytrading chatter on this thread that it's sometimes hard to find the relevant posts.
