Well, finally got to look at all of the games from today. Most of the outcomes were reasonable and predictable. Some defied logic.

Old Dominatrix beating Notre Damned just underscores how poorly one team can play in the post season, year after year after year. ND shouldn't be allowed into the post season anymore, unless they get a high double digit seed.

Richmond loses to St. Mary's. St. Mary's, mind you, hasn't won an NCAA game in what, 50 years? On the other hand, the Spiders are thought to be a legitimate contender to still be alive in the Elite 8 round. Didn't Richmond beat Old Dominatrix this year? I think so. So who advances to the next round??? Make sense to you? I didn't think so...

Vanderbilt loses to Murray State. What a joke. Talk about a team that wasn't prepared to play... Put Vandy in the same category as Notre Damned.

Croquette loses to Washington. Washington shouldn't even be in the NCAA tournament this year. I've seen them play about 10 games or so this year. They are inconsistent as all get out. It was unbelievable that they actually won the PAC10 tournament and got the automatic berth. On the flip side, many people had Croquette going all the way to the final dance. Just ask SE. He had them winning the whole thing. There's just no explanation other than that they weren't prepared.

And that brings me to Georgetown, by George. Here's a team that, at one point in time earlier in the season, they were competing for a #1 weekly ranking. If memory serves me right, they even had a few #1 votes, though not enough to earn the #1. Filo probably feels badly about this. He picked Georgetown to win the tournament. Too bad, so sad... And what mighty powerhouse upended the ferocious Hoyas? Ohio... No, not Ohio State. Ohio. You know. The Bobcats. Who you ask? Oh. Weren't all of the "gurus" picking Ohio this year? Seems to me they should have...

Oh, and Georgetown really hurt my brackets. I had them going to the Elite 8. I also had Croquette going to the Sweet 16. Oh well... I should have seen it coming...

EK!!!
