K, I beg to differ – there is a difference between WS and Hedge Funds and real companies. IMHO EU was after MSFT rightfully so – MSFT killed the competition period.

As to WS firms and their minions my opinion on them is well establishes on SI and before on Prodigy. As a New Yorker I meet many of those types – 50% or more are just scum and do not deserve to have a life. The more manipulative they are the more $$ they earn they cheat and steal on the pretense that if there is a loophole then break into it and steal what ever you can.

WS and Hedge funds make our cost of living much more expensive in any aspect they do not add any positive contribution to our quality of life to the contrary they waste our resources based on the organizations they run.

What started as a by-product to enhance trade and commerce grew to a behemoth that devours any piece of life quality that comes our way – sometimes in a subtle way until 2008 when all came crashing down and we realized that the KING IS NAKED.

Now related to Geithner he is exactly doing it upmost to keep this behemoth called WS alive and well feed and transfer some crumbs in tax receipts to the US treasury.

Trust me without WS in the current form, life quality would be substantial better and US tax revenue substantial higher.
