Yesterday was much more boring than Thursday in the bb tourney. My two teams to watch both bombed. I thought Temple would slaughter Cornell and I was hoping UCSB would upset Ohio State. Neither came close. I'm kind of happy Cornell won, as the Ivy League hasn't done well since I left Penn (no correlation there <g>). Penn made the Final Four my last year at Wharton (1979), but few Ivy League teams have won even an opening game since then. This crazy idea of basketball players actually having to attend classes with the smart kids has hurt the league. I don't think Cornell has cheated, either. I don't see any classes in their catalogue called "The Social Compact and The Slam Dunk."

Cal beat Louisville, but I don't think they can beat Syracuse. Maryland beat Houston, which killed interest in this town.
