Sadly, for him, the Republicans have a distinct tendency to purge those who tell them things they don't want to here when they lose. So I expect them to start 'purifying' themselves in the wake of this defeat. "Apparently, tea baggers and their craziness have much more appeal for the Rs." Populism can be a powerful force for change. Not so sure how it can work for maintaining the status quo. The R's sense the power behind it, but refuse to recognize that populism is against much of what they stand for. Granted, the current crop seems to be fueled by fairy tales and lies. But that doesn't change the nature of the beast.
