Happy Dependence Day! [Mark Steyn] We are paying he price for allowing ourselves to lose the culture wars. All religions - they kept telling us - are the same, all cultures need to be equally respected, all socioeconomic systems have good and bad aspects - and ours may be OK, but not necessarily better than others.... From here, it's not such a big leap to say "What is wrong with Socialism? It works nicely in so many places in Europe", etc". So, here we are, our Great Leap Leftward is becoming reality. The Founders would not be happy, but they are dead, and their ideas are passe and deemed old fashioned.
