Because it was obvious. There was no opportunity to question it. McCain's birth was questioned. Like Obama's, it wasn't obvious. People who want to take someone down will exploit every potential opportunity.<<

I think Obama's birth falls into the same "obvious" category. The mere fact that his father was a foreign man doesn't really call the place of his birth into question. McCain was born outside this country, so one might stretch things to say there was some question in his case. As for Obama, the people who wanted to bring him down invented the controversy out of whole cloth.
