Hi Jane,
I agree with you post and I am aware of all the things that where done, "Quote" In the name of a god or God. But you still haven't answered my question. Would you die right now to defend the Word of God or Jesus? Now think before you answer this question. You are going to go on record for the whole world to know. Once again, will you die physically for the Word?
Now remember what the NT says. If you are not willing to die for me then will the glory of God and heaven be denied you. (adlib).
Simple question, simple answer. If you can't answer this question without embarrassment or thinking that what harm can come from me saying yes, think again.
Let me give you an example of faith. Some if not most folks beleive that the armor that they are to ware is the scriptures. The scriptures are words and nothing more. A person can quote them all they want but if they are not connected they will do nothing. Just words.
CASE IN POINT:
I was in an arcrft. full of paratroopers. We took of out of Savannah. On take off we blew a hydrolic line. It affected are landing gear and breaks. Now I was on intercome and the pilot told me what had happend. I was told to prepare for a crash landing and prepare all the passengers for the worst. In other words death. Back in those days I was pretty well connected. Now myself, it didn't matter if I made or not. I already knew where I going. But I saw the fear of death on the boys faces that where in the cargo compartment and said Jesus and God let them live. They looked at me like I could do something for them. So I did. Needless to say I am here today to talk about it. After we landed they asked us how did we do it? The pilot said he didn't know. All he knows is that he had an extra application on the brakes that wasn't suppose to be there. We stopped litterally inches away from the end of disaster.
So my point is not scripture got us here today but connection. Pure and unadulterated faith. CONNECTION and it doesn't come from reciting verses in the face of diversity or anything else. This is what I was trying to convey to Barry.
The Bible doesn't give you faith, it just tells you how to achieve it. Get my message? So now we are back to the question, Would you or would you not?
Take you time and think about it before you answer.
Have a great day,
