It may not be Sr K....One of us has Medicare, a MC Supplement, and Part D...That is just under $5,000 a year...the other of us is in a very small group (small company) and that insurance is just under $1200 a month....So for 2 of us the insurance is about $19,000....

That's what the problem has been. Small companies don't have the same advantages that the big ones do as far as insurance purchasing... And NONE of us have the same advantages that the Government does when arranging rates for all the Government employees....

On top of that, the HCB was drafted by employees of the Government...Since many of them have their insurance premiums paid by the Government, do you think it is possible that not many of them know (or care) what the non-Government folks have to pay???
